Style: 8mm, slender, entire
Capsule: Not winged
Flowering time: III - VI
Habitat: Subalpine slopes and screes, sandy, stony soil
by late snow patches, 400 - 2000m
Distribution: Western North America, British Colombia to
New Mexico, California, Wyoming
Cultivation: Not an easy plant. Bulb frame in gritty soil,
kept dry in summer
