Cultivation groups are being assigned to each species illustrated in the image galleries. Species from a to c have been completed, the rest will be added this coming autumn or winter.
January 2015
1. A discussion forum has been added to the site
2. About 70 new pictures added to the image galleries, showing the following species in their natural habitat: F. bithynica,
F. meleagris spp. burnatii, F. carica, F. conica, F. davisii, F. drenovskii, F. epirotica, and F. euboeica. These images have been
provided by Stefan Hertel - many thanks for sharing these!! More to come soon.
3. A further 75 of Stefan Hertel's habitat pictures added, this time of: F. forbesii, F. graeca, F. gussichiae, F. messanensis,
F. messanensis ssp. gracilis and F. messanensis ssp. sphaciotica.
4. Another 107 pictures added of plants in habitat from Stefan Hertel. This time the species shown are: F. montana, F. mutabilis,
F. obliqua, F. pelinaea, F. theophrasti, F. pontica, F. pyrenaica, F. rhodia, F. rixii, F. sibthorpiana and F. obliqua ssp. tuntasia
5. Added two German nurseries to the Suppliers page

1. Added new pictures of the following Fritillaria species: bucharica, cirrhosa, grandiflora, maximowiczii, walujewii, olgae, ruthenica, sewerzowii, thunbergii, unibracteata, ussuriensis, fleischeriana.
2. Added a new page giving details of British sites for Fritillaria meleagris
3. Added a short article about growing from seed
